Privacy Policy
Effective October 28, 2026
Lamby ("we", "us") is an app for winding down and focusing. We collect as little as we can. Most of what you do in Lamby stays on your phone and never reaches us. This policy explains what does reach us, why, and what you can do about it.
What stays on your phone
Your sound mixes, your Brain Dump lists, your morning check-ins, your onboarding answers, your routine and reminder settings and your focus sessions are stored only on your device. Uninstalling Lamby deletes them. Reminders and alarms are local notifications scheduled by your phone.
When you talk instead of type in the Brain Dump, your phone's own speech recognition (Apple or Google) turns it into text on the device. Lamby only offers the microphone when your phone can do this without sending audio anywhere.
What we collect
- An account ID. When you start a subscription we create an account for you with a random ID. It has no name or email attached.
- Your email, only if you add it ("Save your account"), so you can sign in on another phone. We use it only to send you sign-in codes. We don't send marketing emails.
- Subscription status. Apple or Google handles your payment; we never see your card. Through our subscription provider we receive your subscription's status, plan, store, renewal and expiration dates, so we know whether to unlock the app.
- Brain Dump text, for a few seconds. When you tap "Sort it for tomorrow", the text you wrote and the feelings you picked are sent to our server and to Anthropic (the company behind Claude, the AI model that sorts it). We don't store or log that text: the sorted list comes back to your phone and the text is dropped. Anthropic doesn't use it to train its models and keeps API data only for a limited time under its own policy. We count how many times a day each account sorts a Brain Dump, to keep a daily limit.
- Technical data. Like any internet service, the servers that answer the app (and that stream the longer stories) see your IP address and basic request information, kept for a short time in their logs.
We don't use advertising or tracking tools inside the app, we don't build profiles about you, and we don't sell or share your personal information.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: database, sign-in and server functions.
- RevenueCat: subscription status from Apple and Google.
- Anthropic: sorting the Brain Dump (not stored by us).
- Resend: sending sign-in codes by email.
- Cloudflare: hosting this website and the story audio.
- Apple and Google: payments, app delivery and on-device speech recognition.
They only process data to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and subscription status while you have an account. Daily usage counts are kept only as long as needed for the limit. When you delete your account, we delete your account ID, email and subscription status from our systems.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account anytime in the app: Profile → Delete account. Or email us and we'll do it. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription: cancel it in your store settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Residents of California and other places with privacy laws have these rights by law; we give them to everyone.
Children
Lamby is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Not medical advice
Lamby helps with routine, focus and rest. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and we don't collect health records.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
